WinX Free FLV to 3GP Converter 4.1

WinX Free FLV to 3GP Converter is a video converter. It is a free solution for converting flash videos (FLV) to 3GP. The 3GP format is very popular for playback of video on mobile phones and devices with small screens. I think this is a great tool for converting videos downloaded from YouTube or other websites into a file that you can take with you anywhere.

The application doesn't have much depth in terms of conversion settings or features, but it is free and it works. At the bottom of the screen, you will find the conversion settings. There, you can select one of the two output video formats: 3GP or MPEG4. There are also two formats for audio: AAC and libamr_nb. I recommend that you slide the volume bar down to 0, so that the application doesn't increase the volume of your file.

In my testing, I used an FLV file that I had downloaded from YouTube. I converted it to a 3GP file with AAC audio. The whole process took less than a minute, for a 4-minute video file. By default, the converter processes files to a resolution of 384 by 288, which is great for mobile devices. The aspect ratio of my file was kept. The final result played well on VLC, and it should play well on mobile devices as well.
